He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Heerey and Mary S. Heerey (Bruemmer); and his siblings, John Heerey, Agnes McEachern and Catherine Wedeman.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Louise Winter; his children, Brad Heerey (Rhonda) of Wichita, Doug Heerey (Lori) of Marion and Cindy McSwain (Chuck) of Wichita; and his siblings, Ben Heerey (Colleen) of Tucson, AZ, Bridget Rowland of Wichita, Pat Pascoe of Agoura Hills, CA and Joan Bucheit of Granbury, TX.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Marion PRIDE, a memorial set up to help provide American flags and flag poles for Marion Main Street.
