It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shawn Newell (Mankato, Kansas), born in Beloit, Kansas, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Bob Newell; his father-in-law Eldon Kadel; and his sister-in-law Patricia Smith. He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Newell (Timbers) of Mankato; his wife Susan Kadel; his son Kale; his grandchildren, Casey and Abby; his children, Abby, Casey Eldringhoff (Dave) of San Marino, CA and Nick Newell; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Jack Eldringhoff, Nauz, Ezree Newell and Amelia Edward; his siblings, Andra Hancock (Rodney) of Salina, Lynn Shamburg (Terry) of Beloit, Teri File of Salina and Lance Newell of Wichita; and also, Arlene Kadel, Mike Kadel (Mary), Kelly Kadel and Sharon Eck (Doug). He is also survived by four children.

Memorials may be made to the Shawn Newell Memorial Fund to be determined by the family at a later date.
