It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leon D. Hughes of Mankato, Kansas, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Leon departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Leon. Though Leon may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Lazell and Dorothy Hughes (Powell); and his sister Peggy Harmon (Tom Harmon). He is survived by: his wife Davine Schwab of Mankato.
