It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet E. Merrill of Mankato, Kansas, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janet leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry McCorkle and Wynona McCorkle. She is survived by: her husband John Merrill; her children, Kevin (Kelli Merrill) and Kim (Ron Karabel); her siblings, Ardean McCorkle and Phyllis Stoppel; her siblings-in-law, Marta and Kenny Chandler; and her siblings, Linda and Jack Ecklund. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
