He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Burton and Francine Margorie Bailie; and his wife Twila Jean Irvine. He is survived by: his children, Claire E. Jones (David Jones) of Atlanta, GA, Scott V. Bailie (Grace Anne) of Lenexa, KS and Melanie R. Bailie of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Justin Davis, Ryan Davis, Emily Bailie, Heather Freddoso, Michael Bailie, Caitlin Freddoso, Christopher Bailie, Anthony Freddoso and Thomas Freddoso; and his brothers, Thomas Burton Bailie (Jane) of Bridgman and John David Bailie (Alberta) of Houston, Texas.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, the KSU Foundation Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund, KSU College of Veterinary Medicine or The Barbershop Harmony Society.
