In the vast expanse of eternity, Verna shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Verna farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Swanson and Ruth Ahlberg Swanson. She is survived by: her children, Gary of Denver and Amy Clement (John) of Overland Park; and her grandsons, Adam Clement and Austin Clement.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home (1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (930 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502).
Memorial contributions in memory of Verna are suggested to the First Lutheran Church or the Meadowlark Hills Foundation (To benefit the Parkinsons Program).
