He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Quinn; his daughter LaShelle Pennell; his wife Betty Holder; his daughters, Mary Newman of Ozark and Kimberly Whitley of Lincoln, Nebraska; and his grandchildren, Crystal Bachoritch, Savannah Miller, Abby Lang, Lacy Schlegel, Afton Lopez and Corey Whitley. He was also cherished by his eleven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Tom to the Manhattan Optimist Breakfast Club or the Manhattan City Band.
