He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Stebbins and Elizabeth Stebbins (Williams); and his sister Vicky Short. He is survived by: his spouse Chrstine Messner; and his daughters, Kelley and Tina. He is also survived by his wife and daughters.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery (5181 Wildcat Creek Rd, Manhattan, KS 66503).
The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Russell to the American Legion Post 17.
