He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl John and Carrie Rosalie Johnson (Pultz); and his siblings, Lois Beckman, Doris Whitaker, Geneva Bergsten, Iona Harris, Carl and James Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn F. Dettmer; his children, Cynthia A. Kite (Timothy J.) of Onaga, KS and Kent R. Johnson (Lana J.) of Maple Hill, KS; his grandchildren, Ashlyn A. Kite-Hartwich (Cody), Martina Beseau Johnson, Timothy Beseau and Tiffany Beseau-Clayton; and his great grandchildren, Wren, Griffon Hartwich, Jordan Johnson, Zeke and Zane Clayton.
