He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian and Maria Silva, Sr. (Perez); his son Jeffery; and his siblings, John, Julian Silva, Sara Guillen and Mary Dejac Sandoval.
He is survived by: his wife Genita Vogl; his children, Michael J. Silva of Olathe, Kansas and Janet Silva of Manhattan; and his sisters, Rita Silva of Cimarron, CO and Rose Silva-Broderick of Las Vegas. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
