He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Funk and Esther Leppke Funk; his wife Delma Thiessen Funk; his siblings, Norma Funk Penner and Donald Funk; his brother-in-law Louis Penner; and his great grandchild Sydney Gatz.
He is survived by: his children, Bradley, Beverly, Deborah, Brad Funk (Sharon) of Colby, Bev Friesen (Joel) of Wichita and Deb Brubacher (Dale) of Hesston; his sister-in-law Gladys Funk of Hillsboro; and his children, Marcia Carlson (KC) of Hesston, Kathy McHenry (Craig) of Minneapolis, Tom Muller of Blue Springs and Doug Muller of Scandia. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
