He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovid "Corky" McCorkle of Emporia and Mayetta McCorkle of Emporia; and his brother-in-law Steve Latimer of El Dorado. He is survived by: his wife Rita A. McCorkle (Jones) of Manhattan; his children, Michael of Manhattan, Richard (Becky) of North Carolina, Joseph (Didi) of Texas, James (Lea) of Washington State and Desiree Jones (Montell) of Manhattan; his grandchildren, Raven, Carlos, Lillian, Jaydyn and Eli; and his sisters, Anita Stroud (Cal) of Utah, Nancy Latimer of El Dorado and Donna Carpenter (Dave) of Lebo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
