He was predeceased by: his parents, Bohumil Oborny and Doris Oborny (Severa); and his brother-in-law Brian Doerksen. He is survived by: his wife Mary Oborny (Krepel); his daughter Taryn (Clint Ryan) of Minneapolis, MN; and his siblings, Beverly Johnson (Roger) of Hutchinson, KS, Jerome Oborny (Linda) of WaKenney, KS, Teresa Doerksen of Bartlesville, OK, Christine Horton (Dave) of Phoenix, AZ and Denise Rutt (Jim) of Phoenix.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home (1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in support of cancer research or the American Red Cross, in care of Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502.
