She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wayne Delbert and Venla Sieh (Sondergard); her husband Edward William Hauer of Manhattan; and her children, Bill Hauer (Anne) of Fairbanks, Greg Hauer of Cascade Locks, Peter Hauer of Colorado Springs, Becky Trenary (Gary) of Morrison and Jane Holba (Bob) of Mt. Pleasant. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
