With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marilyn L. Parker (Manhattan, Kansas), born in Roxbury, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marilyn left this world on December 31, 2024 at the age of 102, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barnes and Lillian Barnes; her husband Gilbert Parker; her sons, Larry, David and Joe; and her sister Nathalie Irwin.
She is survived by: her son Robert Parker (Barbara); her daughters-in-law, Susan Parker and Nancy Parker; her grandchildren, Erin Hickey, Sarah Cortner, Nicole Baker, Shannon Hodgson, Teri McKenzie, Amanda Lynch and Rebecca Fontaine; and her brother Teddy Barnes. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home (1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502).
The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Marilyn be mad to the First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan.
