He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Chapman and Dilla Chapman (Criner); his former wife Audrey F. Webster; and his wife June Hughes. He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Chapman-Hadle (Gary Hadle) of Topeka. He is also survived by one brother, seven nieces and four nephews.
Lewis contracted COVID-19 in a nursing home where he had been residing for the past 2 years.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Ashland Community Church and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
