He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Theodore Wendling, Sr. and Daphne Mae Wendling (Watts); his wife Ruby Ann Wendling (David); and his brother Eugene Wendling. He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Harris of Topeka and Vivian Bush of North Hollywood, CA.; his son Phillip L. Wendling (Darlene) of Richardson, Texas.; his grandsons, Cory Wendling (Lindsay) of Nevada, Texas, BJ Wendling (Stacy) of Prosper, Texas, Ryan Wendling (Katheryn) of The Colony, Texas and Trevor Wendling (Anna) of Richardson, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Parker, Piper Wendling of Prosper and Phillip Henry Wendling of Richardson, Texas.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University.
