He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Piper and Hattie E. Piper (Dewey); his wife Betty J. Dickson-Oppenlander; and his siblings, Jack, James, Donald, Frank, Leland, Martha Hyde and Thelma Soupene.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Carol Latschar of Verona, MO and Nancy K. Petty of Cassville, MO; and his stepgrandsons, Greg and Justin Latschar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
