He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Catherine Jean Deist, Jr. (Hall); and his grandparents, John and Phyllis Deist, Sr. (Baldwin) of Sterling, Kansas.. He is survived by: his pets, George and Petunia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Aunts and cousins.
