John D. Spangler Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Spangler (Manhattan, Kansas), born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on March 30, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Ross and Don Harvey Spangler; his son David Bruce; and his wife Margaret. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Spangler of Auburn, AL, Anne McFarland (Joe) of Stephenville, TX, Virginia Love (Chris) of Lawrence, KS and Kathryn Spangler of DeBary, FL; his sister Nancy Vodraska of Lincoln, NE; and his grandchildren, Henry, Simon, Helen, Ian, Miles and Megan. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, the Boy Scouts of American, the Riley County Humane Society, or the T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter.
