With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe C. Mayfield of Manhattan, Kansas, born in Del Rio, Texas, who passed away on February 14, 2022 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe C. Mayfield to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rachel Rosecrans Lane and Joe Telford Mayfield; his son Scott Mayfield; and his siblings, David Mayfield of Del Rio, TX and Martha Nancy Mayfield.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Fern Mayfield (Sadler); his sons, Robert L. Mayfield (Lorrie) of Junction City, KS and Joel D. Mayfield (Loretta) of Springfield, VA.; and his grandson Joe. He is also survived by grandfather, as did other kids.
The family requests any donations be directed to the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging and may be left in the care of Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, 1317 W. Poyntz Ave., Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
