He is survived by: his parents, Joaquin and Barceliza; his spouse Joyce Toddy; his siblings, Frank Pangelinan, Vincente Basallote, Rosita Basallote and Antonio Basallote; his children, Gayla Herring (Rick), Robin Davis, Belinda Reid, Mary Coulman (Terry), Lela Colleen (Calvin) and Clara Carlew (Micky); and his siblings, Roque Besolette (Maria) and Pedro Basallote. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Joaquin Pangelinan to the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery.
