He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Theodore Burson; and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean O'Malley; his children, Patrick (Dawn), Jeanette, Gwendolyn (Brian) and Michael (Shelley); his grandchildren, Reid, Liam, Nora, Aurora and Aislinn; and his brother Larry.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Gerald W Burson Memorial Fund and sent in care of Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home.
