He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillips and Pearl Phillips (Yearwood); his sister Lynette Dalrymple; and his daughter Devon Phillips (Perdy). He is survived by: his wife Pearl Cynthia Mills; his children, Daunia Phillips of Brooklyn, NY, Genevieve Simmons of Parkland, FL, Maria Shorter of Manhattan, KS, Josanne Archibald of Dumont, NJ, Ashley Campbell of Arima Trinidad, Pearl Phillips of Arima Trinidad, Kristie Phillips and Dwayne Phillips; and his siblings, Elton Phillips, Peter Phillips, Annette Osborne, Judith Bingham, Ester Dwyer, Audrey Jackman, Marleen Phillips, Patricia Hutchinson, Wendy Phillips and Paula Wordsworth. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
