She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Behrens (Tipman) and Edward Behrens; her granddaughter Crystal Bishop; her great grandchild Peyton Fife; and her former spouse Derry W. Bishop.

She is survived by: her children, Jodie Bailey (Richard) of Independence, MO, Terese Vontz (Gregory) of Oberlin, KS, Bob Bishop (Stacy) of Manhattan, KS and Derry M. Bishop (Lisa) of Peoria, AZ; her siblings, Susan Plummer (Gary), Darlene Sturlis and Edward "Butch" Behrens; and her aunt Sonja Martyniuk. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers Memorials in her name can be made to the Meadowlark Hills Honstead House.
