He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schoning and Pauline Schoning (Rufenacht); and his brother Delbert Schoning. He is survived by: his wife Polly Armstrong; his children, Mary Scharfe of Manhattan, Kathleen Kramer of Overland Park and David Schoning (Jennifer) of Wichita; and his grandsons, Dawson, Cooper, Walker and William.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Manhattan Public Library in care of the funeral home.
