He was predeceased by: his child Steve; and his sister-in-law Lamona Anderson. He is survived by: his children, Greg, Kristin and James; and his sisters, Beverly Hutchinson and Betty Anthony.

Don's faith led him to love many, including Irmie whom he cared for in her struggle with Alzheimer's until her death in 2014; children Steve (deceased); Greg, Kristin, and James, their spouses, 5 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; sisters Beverly Hutchinson and Betty Anthony; their spouses, children and; sister-in-law Lamona Anderson (deceased) children and grandchildren.
