We bid farewell to Don Liby of Manhattan, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 12, 2025 at the age of 96. Don touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Everett and Cecelia Cordelia Liby (Girard); his daughters, Diane Blattner and Susie Liby; his siblings, Marjorie Marcotte and Bill Liby; his grandsons, Jeff Blattner, Jared Bowser and Michael McCafferty, Jr.; his great grandchild Tommy Watt, III; and his sons-in-law, Bill Watt and Ken Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Liby; his children, Steve Liby (Sandy) and Julie Timmerman (Wayne); his stepchildren, Waunita Barnes of Havensville, Ilene Carter, Kriss of Neosho Rapids, Arnold Bowser, Debi of Divide, Montana, Gail Wetter and Bill of Manhattan; his sister Darlene Randolph of Abilene; his grandchildren, Thomas Watt, Jr., Jamie Watt, Mary Watt, Michael Watt, Jonathan Watt, Daniel Bowser, Travis Bowser, Hanna Wetter, Isiah Soto, Jodi McCafferty and Tori King; his great grandchildren, Kendell, Breckan, Conner, Trenton, Ashton, Trinity, Jacklyn, Vivienne, Abby, Robyn, Charlotte, Junior, Haydyn, Chelsea, Caylee, Sierra and Wyatt; and his great great grandchildren, Aamir and Jaxton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home (303 S Broadway St, Riley, KS 66531). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at the Grandview-Mill Creek Cemetery (9888 Fairview Church Rd, Leonardville, KS 66449).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice.
