He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Ruth (Peterson) and Cecil Lee Stanfield; and his siblings, James and Evelyn Nafziger. He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Jo Stanfield of Manhattan, KS and Dawn Mischelle Sanchez (Ron Groce) of Battlement Mesa, Colorado; his sister Carole L. Rice of Longmont, Colorado; his grandchild Mischelle Tafoya (Junction City); his great grandchildren, Jordan Jensen (Junction City) and Julia Parra; his great great grandchild Janessa Jensen; his great grandchildren, Jasaleen Jensen and Jonathan; and his nephews, Randy Rice of Colorado, Rodney Rice of Colorado, Ronnie Rice of Colorado, Ryan Rice of Colorado, Mark Stanfield of Colorado and Matt Stanfield of Colorado.

“I am so saddened to hear this. Mr Stanfield was my very favorite High School teacher and had an impact on my life, my music and my self-esteem. He helped me graduate from high school. That said, I am grateful that he was in my life and the lives of so many other of my fellow students. To family and friends just I hope you can be comforted knowing that he touched so many lives in such a wonderful way. God bless and comfort all of you.
