He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis Kyle and Kathryn Greer Kyle; his brothers, Jack Kyle and Robert Kyle; his granddaughter Blossom F. Kyle; and his stepson Daniel Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Kathryn Kyle, Shirley Jean Vogts (Keith), John Hobart Kyle and Benjamin Gayle Kyle Jr.; his spouse Marion Haugen Rice; his stepchildren, Timothy Rice and Ellen Rice; and his stepgrandson Thomas Herkenhoff. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
