He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Holopirek and Pauline Holopirek (Krug). He is survived by: his wife Darnell; his children, Terra Zerr (Alan) of Stillwater, OK, Jemelle Ebers and Lander Holopirek (Kary); his grandchildren, Steele, Shaye and Stratten Ebers; and his siblings, Rick (Kathy), Ken and Debra Kohn (Eric). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Mel and Darnell Holopirek Educational Scholarship at Barton Community College in care of the Barton Community College Foundation, 245 NE 30 RD, Great Bend, KS 67530.
