It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Otto Melvin Johanson of Maize, Kansas, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ontario Johanson and Julia Johanson; his wife Deloris Johanson (Goodson); and his sister June Barton. He is survived by: his sons, Troy (Belinda) of Buffalo and Lance (Dawn) of Maize, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Natasha, Crystal, Blake, Trevor, Brooke, Olivia and Eli. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Clean Water 5K (Malawi Wells), c/o Wichita First Church of the Nazarene.
