It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pauline Anita Arb Baxter of Madison, Kansas, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley Finace "Bud" O'Connor and Elizabeth Irene Wheeler O'Connor; her former husband Joseph Melvin Arb; her close friend Preston Pierce; her stepson James Baxter; and her brother-in-law Richard Schmidt.
She is survived by: her aunt Elsie Nelson; her son David Eugene Arb (Debra) of Emporia; her husband Charles Richard Baxter; her pet Ruby; her grandchildren, Jed Arb, April Arb and Ashley Arb; her great grandchildren, Levi Blythe, Alyssa Arb, Brookly Moore and Carter Topper; her sister Catherine Schmidt of Hartford; and her nieces and nephews, Warren Schmidt (Sharon), Loraine Zweimiller (Brian), Vivan Prose (Richard), Gayla Proehl (Randy), Darice Todd (Brian) of Kirksville, MO, Stuart Schmidt (Mary) of Brewster, KS, Marcia Hermesch (Doug) of Belvue, KS and Karen Gillespie (Jeff) of Colony, KS.
