It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Louise (Lyda) Deighton (Macksville, Kansas), born in Alexander, Kansas, who passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lyda and Grace Lyda (Perkins); her husband Leslie, Jr.; her sister Dorothy Jarrel; and her grandson Ryan Christopher Deighton.

She is survived by: her stepfather Donald Nonken; and her children, David Deighton (Tracy), Dale Deighton (Sara) of Hill City, KS, Debbie Bright (Tracy) of Macksville, KS and Dayna Smith (Mark) of Great Bend, KS. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Macksville Christian Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
