He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Cox and Virginia Cox (May); his wife Sondra D. Young; his uncle Bob Jacobs; and his nephew Eric Young.
He is survived by: his son Richard Michael Cox (Holly Meier) of Little River, KS; his grandsons, Kody Cox (Kayley) of McPherson, KS, Kyler Cox of Lyons, KS and Kayston Cox of Lyons, KS; his great grandchild Kohen Cox of McPherson, KS; his aunt Marcie Crandall of Little River, KS; his uncle Kenneth Jacobs of Anaheim, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Clara, Terry Hensley, Joe, Regina Young, Kelly Jury, Holly and Billy Hall.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Birzer Funeral Home (214 West Ave S, Lyons, KS 67554). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Lyons Bell and Star Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
