She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis C. Lighthill and Nita Sims Lighthill; and her son Keith Whiteman. She is survived by: her daughter Kay J. Higgins (Jesse) of Lyons. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Lyons Bell & Star Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
