With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Loren Horton of Lyons, Kansas, born in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther and Willie Horton (Jackson); his siblings, Robert "Fuzz" Horton, James Thomas Horton, Brenda Swenson and Ruby Mae Horton; and his brother-in-law Gene Swenson.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Horton of Lyons, KS; his children, Jennifer Horton of Lyons, KS, Brandon Navarro of Lyons, KS and Valarie White (Blake) of Lyons, KS; his siblings, Gene Horton (Candy Ann), Glena Sue Bruno and Veta Bruno (Leon); and his niece Polly Horton. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
