John K. Berkheimer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John K. Berkheimer of Lyons, Kansas, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John K. Berkheimer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Herman Berkheimer and Gwendolyn Muriel (Murphy); his wife Barbara Ann James; his daughter Dawn Berkheimer; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Gauthier.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Berkheimer Dittfield (Dennis) of Little Elm, Texas, Hope Berkheimer Gauthier (John) of Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Bruce Berkheimer (Laurie) of Searcy, Arkansas, Ian Berkheimer (Karen) of Beebe, Arkansas and Philip Berkheimer (Leah) of Springfield, Missouri.. He is also survived by six children and were blessed with 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (805 Skyline Dr, Searcy, AR 72143). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Searcy or Bebee Arkansas High School music department in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons or Powell Funeral Home, Searcy.
