She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Murrey and Pearl Murrey; her son Greg; her son-in-law Kirk Higgins; her sister Betty Ann Porter; and her great grandchild Archer Higgins.
She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Kristen Higgins of Beatrice, NE, Teresa and Joel Miller of St. John, KS; and her grandchildren, Jenny (Derek Grandfield), Kate Higgins, Laura (Tad Lazechko), Mike (Tara Higgins), Jim (Callie Higgins), Kim (Dylan Behrends), Dustin Miller and Grant (Courtney Miller).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the designated memorials: Kansas 4-H Foundation, Ebenezer UMC, McPherson College, or Heifer International.
