It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Burdette Baxter of Lyons, Kansas, born in Little River, Kansas, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burdette Baxter and Emily Baxter (Foster); his son Jamie Baxter; his stepson John Griffitt; and his brother Joe Baxter.
He is survived by: his wife Ada Baxter; his son William Baxter; his stepson Brian Griffitt; his siblings, Chuck Baxter (Norma) and Bea Baxter Fordham (Ben); and his grandchildren, Deanna, Jayson, Jessie, Misty, Angela, Logan, Drayton, Carmen, Jamie, Payton, Leslie and Bryant. He is also survived by thirty-one great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Rice County Council on Aging in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
