She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barrientos and Isidra Ramierez Barrientos; her sons, Robert, Greg and Ronald Gutierrez; her siblings, Daniel Barrientos, Joe Barrientos, Betty Harkrader and Frances Barrientos; her siblings-in-law, Felix Palacioz, Roman Avila and Della Barrientos; her nephews, Pascual "Torey" DeLaTorre Jr., Steven Palacioz and Eddy Avila; and her niece Patricia Avila.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Gutierrez of Lyons, Tonya Hendrickson (Randy) of Hutchinson, KS and Tisha Mason (Tom) of Lyons; her stepchildren, Peter Rau of California and Shirley Wright of Texas; her adoptive daughter Mary Pearce of Marysville; and her siblings, Louis Barrientos of Brooksdale, CO, Carol Palacioz of Lyons, Odelia Avila of Wichita, KS and Isabelle Cadena of Lyons. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; ten nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Rice Community Healthcare Foundation (for the Swing Bed Unit at Hospital District #1 of Rice County) or Hospice of Reno County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
