With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bea Lorraine Behnke of Lyons, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Robert and Bertha Mable Grone (Houseman); her husband Melvin Jon Behnke; her brothers, Harley Grone and Hollis Grone; and her foster son David Baker.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Jon Behnke of Bushton, KS and Steven Douglas Behnke (Becky) of Lyons, KS; her foster son Danny Baker (Marci) of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren, Jacob Behnke (Jessica), Jared Behnke (Lindsey) and Stacey Jezek (Brent); and her caregiver Karen Van Allen of Lorraine, KS.. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Salem Church (for the maintenance of the Salem-Friedhof Cemetery) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
