It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Theodora Orth (Lyons, Kansas), who passed away on December 6, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oberle and Barbara Kirmer Oberle; her husband Felix Orth; her children, Linus Orth and Lea Orth; and her siblings, Ambrose Oberle, Mary Hertach, William Oberle, Phillip Oberle, Andrew Oberle, Clement Oberle, Jerome Oberle and Rita Stoss.
She is survived by: her father-in-law Felix Orth of Bushton; her children, Lois Orth-Lopes (Steve Lopes), Philip Alan Storck (Lea) of Lawrence, Vincent (Dee Orth), Loren, Susan Siemer of Bushton, Judy Orth (Linus) of Roeland Park, Mark (Jill Orth), Sheila Orth of Lawrence, Nilus (Valerie Orth), Carmen Orth-Alfie (Sebastian Alfie) and Fabian (Jennifer Orth); and her siblings, Anna Nordman of Albert, Urban Oberle of Claflin and Dorothy Stoss of Great Bend. She is also survived by 22 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and one Great Great Grandchild.
Due to the current pandemic, services with Father Rick Kotrba presiding will be held privately with the family on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the Farmer Township Library Fund, the Holy Name Altar Society, or the Hospice & Homecare of Reno County in care of the Birzer Funeral Home.
