We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2022, at the age of 85, Barbara Jean Root of Lyons, Kansas, born in Larned, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Murray and Maxine Givens Murray; her brother Gary Murray; and her grandson Travis Root. She is survived by: her children, Kim Root (Barbara) of Oregon, Kyle Root (Karen) of Lyons, Kris Laymon (Sam) of Sterling, KS and Kyra Newkirk of Overland Park, KS; and her sisters, Beverly Cornelison of Larned, KS, Bonnie Russell (Clinton) of Belpre, KS and Betty Gardner of Hoisington, KS. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Christian Women's Fellowship in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
