He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlo and Carol Sweetman, Sr. (Calhoun); and his brother Paul Sweetman. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Annette Ditto; his children, Chase Sweetman (Shelby) of Kewanee, Eian Merino of Midvale, Utah and Taylor Sweetman of Kewanee, Illinois; his stepchildren, Jeremias Griesacker of Topeka, Joseph Griesacker of Lyndon, Marianna Griesacker of Wilton, Bridget Griesacker of Osage City, Veronica Nelson of Topeka and Rita Griesacker of Topeka; and his siblings, Arlo Sweetman, Jr. of Georgia, Mark Sweetman of Georgia, Penny Calhoun of Illinois and Melissa Lewis of Illinois. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
