He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Garrett and Icel Garrett (Platter); his wife Patricia Lambie; his children, Don Garrett, Jr. (Windy) of Kansas City, Patrick M. Garrett of Leavenworth, James R. Garrett Sr. (CarrolAnne) of Bonner Springs and Deborah D. Garrett-Smith (Roger) of El Dorado; and his brother Robert Garrett (Dayna) of Overland Park. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
