He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Echer and Sylvia Echer (Florian); and his wife Ramona Svaty. He is survived by: his daughters, Jill Vinson of Salina and Joy Echer of New York; his grandchildren, Rachel Camese, Cole VanBlaricon and Olivia Schaan; and his great grandchildren, Warrick VanBlaricon, Strattyn Wheeler and Briggs Schaan.

Memorials may be given to the Lucas United Methodist Church and sent in care of the mortuary.
