She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Waldo Shafer and Mary Elizabeth Shafer (Hines); and her siblings, Jane Cummins, Alice Harkness, Ina Kite, Betty Messer, Allen Shafer, Keith Shafer, Clarence Shafer and Chester Shafer.
She is survived by: her husband Rex McCormick; and her children, Debbie Apple (Pat), Patricia Goode and Michael McCormick (Jill). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory (1 Aquatic Dr, Louisburg, KS 66053). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Louisburg Cemetery (865 W Amity St, Louisburg, KS 66053).
