He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lewis and Jane Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Sondra; his sister Nancy Krause; and his children, Misty Cole (Brett) of Pleasant Hill, Rebecca Nelson (James) of Fort Scott and Christopher Lewis (Rhonda) of Louisburg. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
