He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Thompson and Helen Thompson (Hope); his wife Nellie; and his great grandchild Kaitlyn Nicole. He is survived by: his children, Kathi, Micheal, Robert Denise, Steve, Susan, David and Chrystal (Chris); and his sister Carol Smith of Hobart. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
